Abacalab, Inc. was founded in 2003 to provide mobile computing tools for scientists working in the laboratory. Our products help people work more productively and efficiently by capturing scientific knowledge right where it is discovered while providing scientists with better calculating tools and useful reference data.

Products

The Chemistry Labacus^® was first released to the public in Spring 2006 and has been frequently upgraded with new capabilities since then. The Labacus^® is used by chemists at companies around the world, in industries including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals and materials, as well as in government and academic labs.

Vision/Mission

Abacalab provides mobile computing tools for scientists in the laboratory environment, tools that help organize, manipulate, and record information and ideas right in the lab. This boosts efficiency and productivity as well as the long-term value of scientists’ work. Abacalab was founded because current scientific software does not meet the needs of laboratory scientists for effective point-of-use information handling. Abacalab serves these needs by creating and promoting point-of-use technologies for laboratory informatics. The culmination of the Abacalab vision will be the integration of the creative contributions of laboratory researchers into the electronic data flow that already connects their instruments, databases, and data mining and reporting tools – in a way that is intuitive and convenient for the people who do lab work.
